3. What are the arrangements for transportation ?
To get to the Surya Shibir site you need to go by road and then a boat ride across the lake. The boats are provided by the Surya Shibir. For road transport you can drive your own vehicle or ask for a Surya Shibir provided vehicles. Different options of different capacity vehicles are available.

4. What about the safety of the vehicles ?
If you drive by your own vehicle ample parking area with adequate security is provided by Surya Shibir.

 5. If we are coming from out side Pune how can we reach the camp site ?
If you are coming from outside , our vehicles can pick you up from the Railway / Bus stations and take you to the camp site.

Non vegetarian food, smoking and consumption of alcoholic drinks is strictly prohibited. We also insist on keeping the surroundings quiet and peaceful.

1. Who are the group leaders ?
Specially trained boys and girls in the age group of 18 to 25 work as a group leaders. They are educated to handle the group activities and look after the members of there respective groups.

2. What are the arrangements for food and water ?
A purified ,clean drinking water is available 24 hours. We have our own cooks, who with the help of their assistants serve the in house prepared fresh food everyday.

3. How old are these camping activities ?
A first camp of such a type was conducted in the summers of 1998. Till 2002 summer about 3000 children have participated in the camps.

4. Who are the demonstrators at the camp site ?
Demonstrator are experts in their respective fields like horse riding, star gazing etc. These experts are specially invited by organizers and they educate the participants about different aspects.

5. What about the transportation ? Are those charges included ?
The camp fees include all the costs of transportation. Participants are taken to and fro the camp site by Surya Shibir's own buses and boats.

7. What is the age group allowed to participate ?
 Children in the age group of 7 to 15 are allowed to participate in the group.

8. When are the camps arranged ?
 Camps are arranged in the Diwali as well as summer vacations. Camps are conducted in April/May and September/October .The exact dates are announced one month prior to the camp dates.

9. Will a child become an expert in the activities conducted at the camp ?
 It is too short a period to really get expertised in any of the activity at the camp. We intend to just introduce to the different activities.

10.How are the camps structured?
 The participants are distributed in different groups of around 15 children. Boys and girls have different groups. A group is headed by a group leader. These group leaders are boys and girls in the age group of 18 to 25. A camp In-Charge monitors the activities of the camp. The camp-In charge is a senior person specifically trained to do such kind of job. A care is taken to make girls the group leaders for the girls groups.

11. Are parents allowed to visit the children during the camp ?
 NO. Parents are strictly not allowed to visit the children during the camp duration.

13 What does the fees include ?
 The camp fees include to and fro transportation, stay at camp site, breakfast ,lunch and dinner during the camp. Fees also include charges for all the facilities and activities at the camp.
In short the charges includes everything and a child need not carry a single rupee with him/her.
