A TYPICAL DAY AT "SURYA SHIBIR" CAMP

Providing the sustainable energy resources and protecting environment are some of the most serious challenges that are required to be addressed. A typical camp structure is so designed that the enrichment and enjoyment are nicely blended for addressing these pressing concerns of the modern society.

The day begins at 6:30 with flag hosting, prayers and the traditional Suryanamaskar followed by warm-up exercises.

After breakfast children's break off in to groups of 15, each under a leader, to follow different activities. the leaders are specialised instructors from Pune. It could be Swimming, Mountain climbing Rapling , River Crossing Rifle Shooting, or Archery.

After lunch, when the Sun is at it's brightest, participants sit under the shady trees and are engage in some craft work or learn about city farming.

Solar Cell Wind Mill

To address the growing concerns of reutilization of power and natural resources to enrich our lives, introduction  to solar and wind energy techniques City Farming Waste Utilization, Bio Gas, Wormiculture are integrated in the learning sessions.



For enriching physical spiritual and mental health participants are invited to participate in the Yoga and Omkar Sadhna Sessions.

The center has special arrangements for the night sky gazing. Here experts help to watch the stars and planets with powerful telescopes.

Star Gazing

After the dinner the residents assemble in the open air theatre which provides the platform for the participants to involve themselves in the cultural programmes.


Activities of the day ends with the campfire which provides for opportunity to sing, dance and make social comments.
